RUIDOSO BACKS OUR TRACK

Ruidoso Backs Our Track

Following the announcement that the Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino (RDRT&C) filed an application with the New Mexico Horseracing Commission seeking permission to move its operations to Las Cruces, should gaming tax parity not be allowed by the New Mexico Legislature, the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce launched an initiative to retain and sustain the RDRT&C in Lincoln County.

The Ruidoso Backs Our Track initiative is a concerted informational and educational effort designed to create a call-to-action among our membership and all citizens within Southeastern New Mexico.

The Village of Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs City officials, tourism officials and other community leaders are convinced that the loss of the race track and casino would result in significant losses in tourism, jobs, revenue and gross receipt related economic loss. The economic impact to the small community of Lincoln County has been conservatively estimated to exceed 30 million dollars.

Please get involved today in this important initiative.
