1st - 31st—Hondo Valley Iris Festival:  Hondo Iris Farm, Hondo Valley.

5th—Prayer Breakfast Ruidoso Convention Center.
Breakfast buffet 6:30 - 7 a.m. Tickets can be picked up at Rio Ruidoso Realtors at 1204 Mechem Dr. or KEDU at 1009 Mechem Dr. 

6th & 7th—8th Annual Smokey Bear Days Capitan NM .
The event includes fire prevention and educational booths, free live music, a street dance, visits from Smokey Bear throughout the event and at the cutting of his birthday cake during the street dance. There is also a vendor’s  marketplace, fun and education for the kids, chainsaw carving contest, auction of Smokey Bear memorabilia and much more. 7th—5th Annual Mother's Day Plant Sale Compass Bank parking lot.

7th—Paul Revere & The Raiders Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts.
7 p.m. $69 & $66. Fish 'n' Chips Lobby Buffet at 5 p.m. $20. 24th—The 2011 Lincoln County Renewable Energy Conference, Trade Show and Job Fair Ruidoso Convention Center.

28th—Flying J Ranch Opens!  North of Ruidoso.

28th—Ruidoso Sprint Triathlon Ruidoso Athletic Club.

28th—Billy the Kid Trail Ride  Ft. Sumner, NM to Lincoln, NM.
The Billy the Kid Trail Ride begins in Ft. Sumner, and travels 125 miles to Lincoln over the same route that Billy the Kid used to move between Lincoln and Ft. Annual Lincoln County "Walk in the Woods" The Links Golf Course Walking Trail, Ruidoso.
Health/Safety Fair, booths will be set up around the Links walking trail entering the trail off of Ovella Estes Way. Starts 9 a.m. and lasts until 1 p.m. With over 30 health and  safety booths for all ages this FREE event is a great place to take your family. 5th Annual Fundraiser for Ruidoso Hospice The Flying J Ranch.
Doors open at 6 p.m. $25 adults and $15 Children (12 & under). Admission includes an Old West Gunfight at 6:30 p.m., Chuck Wagon Supper at 7 p.m., The 'Flying J Wranglers' Stage Show at 8:20 p.m., and a silent auction from 6 - 8 p.m. Tickets available at: Ruidoso Chamber of Commerce, Prestige Cabinets, The Wild Herb Market and Ruidoso Home Care. Ruidoso's 17h Annual Fiesta Ruidoso High School Gym.
Starts at 6:30 pm. Come and enjoy an evening filled with incredible and outstanding performances from all ages dressed in traditional colorful costumes.
