Seasonal Events


Nov. 8, 9 & 10 – Christmas Jubilee at the Ruidoso Convention Center.  Join us for Ruidoso’s Favorite Shopping Experience. The Annual Christmas Jubilee offers something for everyone. Bring the kids and meet Santa. Shop for unique gifts and get a head start on Christmas.

Nov. 9 – Party on the Mountain at Ski Apache. Gear up for this free family event featuring food, entertainment, and raffles as Ski Apache kicks off the 2019-2020 ski season.  For more information, call 575-464-3600.

Nov. 9 – Four Italian Tenors at Spencer Theater. Italy’s next generation of world-class tenors perform a tribute to four of its greatest.  Direct from italy, the young tenors perform an instantly recognizable and well-loved program.  CLICK HERE for ticket information.

Nov. 22 – The Wizards of Winter at Spencer Theater.  Just in time for the holidays The Wizards of Winter appear to transport us through the rich memories and magic of the season.  CLICK HERE for ticket information.

Nov. 28 – Ski Apache Opening Day (Weather Permitting)

Nov. 28 – Ruidoso Winter Park Opening Day (Weather Permitting)  The Annual Opening for Ruidoso’s “Premier Snow Play Area”!  You will be whisked to the top of the hill on moving conveyors.  There’s no need to walk uphill, which means MORE tubing and MORE FUN.  As Bert the Conqueror of the Travel Channel says: “This is the Holy Grail of Snow Tubing”

Nov. 28 – Grindstone Stables Opening Day!  Join us for a horse-drawn sleigh ride through historic Upper Canyon! With jingle bells ringing and the horses breath fogging in the air, everyone is sure to enjoy the crisp winter evenings while riding through the oldest part of Ruidoso. Check the website for nights the Sleigh Rides will be offered!


Dec. 5 – Christmas in the Park at Schoolhouse Park
Join the Village of Ruidoso in their annual lighting of the Yule Log. Free. Santa and cookies will be there, of course. 6 pm.

Dec. 7 – Parade of Lights  Beautifully lit and fantastically festive, the Festival of Lights–Parade of Lights starts at 5:30 pm from the corner of Sudderth/Mechem, through Midtown, down to the Chamber of Commerce. The Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Toys for Tots. We are encouraging everyone to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Parade of Lights. During the parade Toys for Tots will have a float and will be collecting toys. Marines will be walking along the float picking up the toys that are brought to the parade. This year lets all help make sure every child has a Christmas by bringing a toy to the parade to donate.

Dec. 7 – Parade After Party  Immediately following the parade, the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a party in Wingfield Park. There will be Food and Drinks.  Free to attend! Santa will be there! Come take a picture with Santa Claus.

Dec. 21 & 22 – Dali’ Ballet Company Presents “The Nutcracker” at Spencer Theater. Tickets are $35. Dali’ Ballet Company’s original adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s Christmas classic is a delightful trip into a magical world of dancing nutcrackers, feisty mice, stalwart soldiers, and dazzling sugar plum fairies! Dec. 31 – Denim and Diamonds New Year’s Eve Party at Inn of the Mountain Gods. Ring in the new year with some bling!  Come dressed in your best denim and diamonds attire and get ready for an incredible night.  CLICK HERE for ticket information.


Jan. 8 – Finding Neverland at the Spencer Theater.  Based on the Academy Award-winning film of the same name, this breathtaking show follows playwright J.M. Barrie as he summons the courage to become the writer – and the man – he yearns to be.  CLICK HERE for ticket information.
