DECEMBER

Dec. 1 – Parade of Lights  Beautifully lit and fantastically festive, the Festival of Lights–Parade of Lights starts at 5:30 pm from the corner of Sudderth/Mechem, through Midtown, down to the Chamber of Commerce. The Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Toys for Tots. We are encouraging everyone to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Parade of Lights. During the parade Toys for Tots will have a float and will be collecting toys. Marines will be walking along the float picking up the toys that are brought to the parade. This year lets all help make sure every child has a Christmas by bringing a toy to the parade to donate.

Dec. 1 – Parade After Party  Immediately following the parade, the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a party in Wingfield Park. There will be Food and Drinks. The movie It’s a Wonderful Life will be playing on the outdoor big screen. Free to attend! Santa will be there! Come take a picture with Santa Claus.

Dec. 22 & 23 – Dali’ Ballet Company Presents “The Nutcracker” at Spencer Theater. Tickets are $30. Dali’ Ballet Company’s original adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s Christmas classic is a delightful trip into a magical world of dancing nutcrackers, feisty mice, stalwart soldiers, and dazzling sugar plum fairies!
