Taking part or sharing in…growth
Businesses that are a visible part of the community are seen as more trustworthy, attain better brand recognition and get to know their customers. Volunteering for chamber events is a fun way to meet others. Participating in committees allows others to benefit from your knowledge.
Board of Directors
One of the most rewarding volunteer opportunities is to join the Chamber Board of Directors. These leaders in our community help guide the director of the business projects of our community. The board is divided into business councils representing the various industries ensuring input is gained from all areas of business. Elections are held each April with 4 of the 12 board of directors rotating each year.
The Chamber looks for every opportunity to involve our members. Getting input, advice and assistance from our community leaders is critical in creating a successful program. Committees are formed for our standard events (Ruidoso Day, Art Festival, AspenFest and Festival of Lights) and may also incorporate other projects like Shop Local, Customer Service and Business Expo.
Ruidoso Day In Santa Fe
Arguably one of the most important events held by the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce, Ruidoso Day in Santa Fe is the opportunity for our community to reach out to the legislators with the message of business and community issues. Usually held in early February.
Ruidoso Art Festival
The Ruidoso Art Festival is the primary fund raising event for the Chamber and offers many opportunities for your business to participate. First, you can volunteer at the event, assisting visitors and artists allowing you to gain more exposure with the other involved business professionals in the community. Additionally, there are sponsorship opportunities available allowing your company name to be seen by thousands of visitors. Held the 4th weekend of July.
AspenFest And Festival of Lights
The Chamber hosts parades for each of these events in which all organizations are invited to
join. A parade is a fun and unique way to get your business noticed. Just think of all of the attention given as each entry goes by. You may also choose to add an event to the celebration, tagging along with the marketing and promotion. AspenFest parade is the first Saturday in October and Festival of Lights parade is the first Saturday in December.
